[Effect of shift work on the functional status of the derrick construction workers]

This study was performed with a team of workers engaged in derrick construction in a desert area. A hygienic assessment of the labour conditions was made. It was suggested that the labour conditions and the way and method of their management influenced to a considerable degree the workers' functional state, their fatiguability and accumulation of fatiguability during the shift. The labour conditions can be related to the permissible hard labour conditions class.
