Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) indices like fractional anisotropy (FA), longitudinal diffusivity (λl), and radial diffusivity (λr) can indicate demyelination in multiple sclerosis (MS) spinal cord lesions. However, DTI is not specific for axon loss.
