  • Primary thyroid small-cell carcinoma has been considered virtually non-existent in recent literature.

Observation:

  • The authors present an exceedingly rare case of primary small-cell carcinoma of the thyroid.
  • This tumor exhibited a basaloid morphology.
  • Crucially, the neoplasm lacked expression of neuroendocrine markers and C-cell differentiation.
