Abstract:
The title compound, C(13)H(12)N(2)O(2), was obtained by the reaction of 4-amino-pyridine and benzyl chloro-formate in tetra-hydro-furan. The crystal structure contains N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between two unique mol-ecules within layers and anti-parallel C-O⋯O-C inter-actions [O⋯O = 3.06 (3) Å] between the two mol-ecules of the asymmetric unit.
