Abstract:
The title complex mol-ecule, [Cu(NO(3))(2)(C(4)H(6)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)], has crystallographically imposed twofold symmetry. The Cu(II) atom displays a distorted square-pyramidal CuN(2)O(3) coordination geometry. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the coordinated water mol-ecule and the nitrate anions form chains parallel to the c axis.
