  • A hydatid cyst was identified in the infundibulum of the pulmonary artery, indicating cardiovascular involvement.

Findings:

  • The diagnosis of multiple thoracic and cardiovascular hydatid disease was difficult.
  • Clinical, radiological, and electrocardiographic findings were not specific for this rare presentation.
  • Surgical intervention was necessary to manage the pulmonary and cardiac hydatid cysts.

Implications:

  • This case underscores the diagnostic complexities of rare hydatid disease presentations.
  • Early recognition and multidisciplinary management are crucial for successful treatment of cardiovascular hydatidosis.
