The effect of a biogenic paste containing hydroxylapatite and collagen on the course of bone integration of implants inserted in the hole immediately after tooth or root extraction was studied in dog experiments. Histologic examination has revealed accelerated osteogenesis round the implant in experimental animals vs. the reference ones. This fact permits a conclusion that application of the biogenic paste will be conducive to a more rapid and effective taking in of the implant and, therefore, to a sooner prosthesis.
