The elliptical face shape is highly valued in Asian aesthetics.
Some men desire an elliptical facial profile and seek surgical alteration from a square shape.
Facial feminization surgery principles are increasingly applied in male aesthetic procedures.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ostectomy for modifying square-shaped male faces to an elliptical form.
To assess the aesthetic outcomes and stability of facial contouring surgery in men.

Main Methods:

Nineteen men with square facial types (ages 22-30) underwent a specific ostectomy procedure.
The surgery included mandibular angle resection, lateral cortex splitting, and chin width reduction via an intraoral approach.
Postoperative follow-up was conducted 3 to 6 months after the ostectomy.

The ostectomy procedure resulted in satisfactory aesthetic outcomes 3 to 6 months postoperatively.
