Recency Effects in the Inferior Parietal Lobe during Verbal Recognition Memory

Recency effects in the lateral inferior parietal cortex (LIPC) are not due to task difficulty or increased brain activity. These memory effects appear to reflect memory strength or expectancy, not working memory maintenance.
