- Attention is the primary cognitive domain affected in obstructive sleep apnea.
- Nocturnal hypoxemia is the main correlate of attention deficits in OSA, more so than sleepiness or sleep fragmentation.
- While some patients exhibit below-average executive functions, these do not correlate with polysomnographic findings.
