Abstract:
Newborns have a reduced immunological resistance. That fact together with the risk factors, associated with hospitalization, determine the high level of nosocomial infections'illnesses in neonatological wards. The NI incidence of every 100 treated newborns at these wards in Bulgaria is 1.99% for the 2000-2009 period. At the neonatological wards in Bulgaria the nosocomial sepsis has a frequency of 1 of 1000 released patients. The leading role is that of coagulase-negative staphylococcus (CNS) with 28.27%. The leading etiological cause of nosocomial pneumonia in neonatal age in Bulgaria for the period is Klebsiella spp. (36.10%). Infections of organa sensuum take the first place in the structure of nosocomial infections in clinical localization for the 2000-2009. period in neonatological wards with 34.66%. The leading etiological cause is S. aureus.
