The history of dermatologic liposuction

Dermatologists have been involved in liposuction even before its introduction into the United States. Liposuction has rapidly become part of the dermatologic surgeon's armamentarium. Dermatologic surgeons have been innovators in teaching and research in liposuction. They have been largely responsible for developments in fat transfer surgery.
