Summary

Main Results:

  • No significant differences in patient characteristics or operative factors between groups.
  • Robotic cholecystectomies were performed efficiently (15.1 ± 3.2 minutes) using existing ports without conversion, redocking, or repositioning.
  • Combined surgery showed comparable complication rates (1 wound infection, 1 fluid collection) and no mortality; postoperative length of stay was similar.

Conclusions:

  • Concomitant robotic cholecystectomy is safe and efficient when combined with robotic gastric cancer surgery.
  • Advancements in robotic technology and surgeon experience may facilitate combining more complex procedures.
