The evaluation process for cardiac transplantation: a case study
The Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing
|October 1, 1990
Abstract:
The evaluation process for cardiac transplantation can be an anxious and overwhelming period for the patient and family. Time is the unknown variable for the health care team, patient, and family while the cardiac evaluation is being completed. This case study focuses on the evaluation phase of one man being considered for cardiac transplantation in a hospital that had not routinely accommodated such a patient.
