[Degrees of malignancy and biological behavior in gynecologic cancer]
1Dept. of Gynecology, Cancer Institute Hospital.
Abstract:
Recently there has been a rebirth of interest in the grading of gynecologic cancers. The grading of malignant tumors was proposed initially to help clinicians to plan reasonable and effective therapy. Various schemata have been offered to differentiate degrees of malignancy. The grading system of malignant tumors should be simple and reproducible, and it should also be related to the biological behavior of tumors and prognosis. The importance of the grading in endometrial and ovarian cancers has been well accepted. Grading of cervical cancer seems to be of little value.
