Th1 and Th2 cytokine profiles in malignant pleural effusion

Cytokine levels in pleural effusions vary widely, with no clear pattern to distinguish malignant from non-malignant causes. This study examined Th1 and Th2 cytokines in various effusions, finding no definitive diagnostic markers.
