Renal BOLD-MRI does not reflect renal function in chronic kidney disease

Renal blood oxygen level-dependent MRI (BOLD-MRI) measures kidney function using R2(*) relaxation rates. This study found BOLD-MRI could not distinguish between different stages of chronic kidney disease in a general patient group.
