1Department of Radiology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA. jasperson.david@mayo.edu
Abstract:
A wellness program was developed jointly by the departments of radiology and surgery at Mayo Clinic Rochester in response to a staff satisfaction survey in order to engage employees. Satisfied employees who are in good health are strong assets to a workforce team. Satisfied employees are better performers and are easier to retain. Employees focused on their health and wellness through fun, non-threatening activities, which led to an improvement in employee satisfaction and an increased awareness about personal health and well-being.
