Summary

We describe a rare case of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) photodermatitis presenting as extensive vitiligo-like skin depigmentation. This highlights unusual skin reactions associated with HIV.

The spectrum of HIV photodermatitis is not fully characterized.

This report details an exceptionally rare clinical presentation of HIV photodermatitis.
The patient exhibited widespread depigmentation resembling vitiligo.
This specific presentation is infrequently documented in medical literature.

Findings:

The case illustrates a rare association between HIV photodermatitis and vitiligo-like skin changes.
