Summary

Pexid treatment induced three distinct cytoplasmic inclusions in rat retinal cells: lamellar, reticular, and crystalloid. Lamellar inclusions were most common, appearing in all retinal cell types, while crystalloid inclusions were specific to pigment epithelial cells.
