Influence of additional language learning on first language learning in children with language disorders

Multilingual education does not hinder first language (L1) acquisition in children with language disorders (LD). Gains in L1 proficiency were similar in students learning Chinese in Putonghua versus Cantonese, with a slight edge in comprehension for Putonghua learners.
