Cervical spine injuries and helmet laws: a population-based study

Mandatory helmet laws (MHL) are associated with fewer cervical spine injuries and lower mortality in motorcycle crash patients. Older patients (over 55) face higher mortality and longer hospital stays, regardless of helmet laws.
