[A simplified method for the radionuclide determination of glomerular filtration]

Glomerular filtration is one of the chief components of renal function. The biochemical methods of its determination (clearance of insulin and endogenous creatinine) have a number of shortcomings. The use of labeled glomerulotropic agents simplifies methods of the determination of glomerular filtration. A formula and a table of glomerular filtration value per 1 kg of body mass were calculated. The authors presented the results of glomerular filtration calculation for 132 patients. They showed good correlation. The correlation factor is r = + 0.916 (mr = 0.009).
