Patent ductus arteriosus repair in general practice

A patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) in a German Shepherd puppy was successfully surgically closed using the Jackson-Henderson technique. This common congenital heart defect in dogs can be effectively treated with appropriate surgical expertise and facilities.
