Motion streaks do not influence the perceived position of stationary flashed objects

This study examined if motion streaks from fast-moving dots affect the motion-induced position shift illusion (MIPS). Results indicate that background motion, including motion streaks, does not alter the perceived position of stationary flashed objects.
