Abstract:
Patients with mandibular removable partial free-end dentures were monitored for two years. Functional and occlusal parameters were evaluated for a possible association with the type of attachment. Signs and symptoms of clinical functional disturbances were found to be independent of the type of attachment. In cases with tapered or telescopic crowns occlusal stability was maintained longer than in cases with clasps.
