Toll-like receptor gene polymorphisms are associated with allergic rhinitis: a case control study

- Haplotypes within the TLR7-TLR8 gene region show a significant association with allergic rhinitis in both Swedish and Chinese populations.
- These findings, combined with previous studies linking this region to asthma and allergic rhinitis, strongly implicate TLR7-TLR8 in the pathogenesis of these allergic diseases.
