Lid margins: sensitivity, staining, meibomian gland dysfunction, and symptoms

Summary

Lower eyelids are more sensitive and stained but have less meibomian gland dysfunction than upper lids. Tear osmolarity correlates with lid characteristics, but symptoms did not correlate with lid staining.
