Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of posterior spine fusion with Harrington heavy compression-rod instrumentation for treating Scheuermann's kyphosis.

  • Ten patients with Scheuermann's kyphosis underwent posterior spine fusion.
  • Harrington heavy compression-rod instrumentation was utilized for surgical correction.

  • All ten patients experienced relief from pain and deformity.
