Candida-associated gastric ulcer relapsing in a different position with a different appearance

This study reports the first case of recurrent gastric ulcers associated with Candida infection in an elderly patient negative for Helicobacter pylori. Candida may play a direct role in gastric ulcer formation, challenging existing medical understanding.

- This challenges the prevailing view of Candida's role in gastric pathology.
