Phototherapy, including psoralen plus ultraviolet A (PUVA) and ultraviolet A/B (UVA/UVB), is an effective and safe treatment for pityriasis lichenoides. Both methods showed positive results for patients with this benign skin condition.

- Pityriasis lichenoides (PL) is a benign skin condition with a spectrum from pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta (PLEVA) to pityriasis lichenoides chronica (PLC).
