Emergency contraception (EC) is crucial for preventing unintended pregnancies.
Assessing knowledge and attitudes among future prescribers is vital for effective EC access.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate nurse practitioner (NP) students' knowledge of emergency contraception (EC).
To explore NP students' attitudes towards EC and their potential impact on prescribing willingness.

Main Methods:

A web-based survey was administered to 467 NP students.
The survey assessed knowledge and attitudes regarding emergency contraception.

Main Results:

Students with formal EC education demonstrated significantly higher knowledge scores.
Knowledge gaps were identified in EC mechanisms, indications, and contraindications.
