A Silicon-tipped Fiber-optic Sensing Platform with High Resolution and Fast Response

We developed a novel all-optical sensor using a two-dimensional photonic crystal cavity. This sensor accurately measures refractive index changes with a sensitivity of 460 nm/RIU.
