Summary

Spindle cell carcinoma of the larynx is a rare laryngeal neoplasm. Immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy confirm these are true neoplasms, with spindle cells originating from the tumor itself.

  • To differentiate true neoplastic spindle cells from reactive fibroblasts in laryngeal tumors.
