This study introduces a novel hybrid camera combining electron-multiplying charge-coupled devices (EMCCDs) and silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) for enhanced gamma-ray imaging. The new system significantly improves signal-to-background ratio and energy resolution while maintaining high spatial resolution.
