Summary

Direct skeletal attachment (DSA) shows promise for prosthetic lower limb attachment, offering an alternative to traditional sockets. While a pilot study in micropigs revealed surgical challenges, it demonstrated the feasibility of DSA for secure prosthetic integration without infection.
