Chemically synthesized quantum dot nanoscale semiconductor heterostructures (QDHs) show promise for solar energy conversion. Tailoring QDH materials, size, and interfaces is key to optimizing their performance in devices like quantum dot sensitized solar cells (QDSSCs).
