Abstract:
With more than 830,000 live births in France, a great number of women are concerned by a long term treatment during pregnancy and many questions revolve around appreciating medication-related risks during pregnancy. This drug exposure concerns immunosuppressive drugs for inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases or organ transplantation involving more and more women of childbearing age. Here we will discuss the main immunosuppressive drugs classes (from chemical treatment until biological treatment with monoclonal antibodies) used during pregnancy for indicating the risks of these therapies, with an update of their use in pregnant women and for emphasizing the points whose use during pregnancy is most likely to cause concern.
