Abstract:
Geriatric medicine and clinical pharmacology have important areas of common interest, and the present volume is an expression of this. The role of geriatric clinical pharmacology is to improve drug treatment in the elderly; this role can only be realized if there is adequate funding and if those involved are prepared to play a comprehensive role, not only in research but also in patient care and as educators.
