High-resolution Tandem Mass Spectrometry for Studying Chemical Constituents of Gynura bicolor DC

Objective:
To investigate the chemical constituents from Ilex hainanensis.
Methods:
The compounds were isolated and purified by various chromatographic techniques. The structures were identified by mass and NMR spectral data.
Results:
Ten compounds were isolated and identified as Ilexgenin A (1), 3beta, 19alpha-dihydroxyolean-12-ene-24,28-Dioicacid-28-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), Ilexsaponin A1 (3), 2-(Caffeoyloxy) methyl-3-hydroxy-1-butane-4-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (4), Dibutyl phthalate (5), Rutin (6), Eriodictyol-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (7), Syringaresinol-4-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (8), (2E) -2-methyl-2-butene-1, 4-diol-4-O-beta-D-(6"-O- caffeoyl) -glucopyranoside (9), 1-O-caffeoyl-(2E) -2-methyl-2-butene-1, 4-diol-4-O-beta-D- glucopyranoside (10), respectively.
Conclusion:
Compound 4, 7 - 10 are obtained from this plant for the first time.
