Summary
A new polyblend polyethylene suture material (FW) showed a higher failure rate than monofilament nylon leader line (NLL) in dogs undergoing lateral fabellar suture (LFS) surgery for cranial cruciate ligament rupture (CCLR). This finding suggests NLL may be a more reliable option for this common canine stifle condition.
