[Pathomorphosis of breast cancer after radiotherapy and thermoradiotherapy]

A study was made of therapeutic pathomorphism of breast carcinoma in 161 patients after preoperative irradiation in the classical regimen of dose fractionation, in the regimen of large fractionation and in its combination with UHF-hyperthermia in different alternation of UHF-therapy and heating. Irrespective of a preoperative modality, a tumor is damaged to a varied degree. Individual radiosensitivity of tumors is more variable than the group one. The use of UHF-hyperthermia prior to radiotherapy enhances the damaging action of ionizing radiation but not in all patients. Research should be made into the causes of different radio- and thermosensitivity of breast carcinoma.
