[2-stage, bilateral femoral amputation in severe arteriosclerosis]

It is reported about 26 patients with lower extremity amputation above knee on both sides in two times because most hardest vascular insufficiency. Amputation is necessary, if all other treatment are unsuccessful or impossible. In these very difficult cases amputation was made on second leg to save life. Especially the problems of treatment after operation are explained.
