[Early results with Zespol osteosyntheses of the leg]

First experiences with the Polish osteosynthesis method "ZESPOL" are reported. Considering 28 osteosyntheses this method proved a success under selected indications. For the treatment of tibial shaft fractures the assembling in the sense of a monofixing agent is efficient. Besides a high but not rigid stability, minimum impairment, a limited but multilateral applicable apparatus and simple operating technique the high variability in consequense of external, subcutaneous and paraosseous placement possibility has to be mentioned. The early results of patients treated from february 1987 to august 1988 are good.
