Smoking and malignancy in sinonasal inverted papilloma

Smoking significantly increases the risk of malignant transformation in sinonasal inverted papillomas (IP). Close monitoring of smokers with sinonasal IP is crucial to detect potential squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) early.
