Background:

  • Pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEX) is a condition that can affect vision.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To determine the prevalence of pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEX) in a population-based cohort in North China.
  • To investigate the associations between PEX and various demographic and clinical factors.

  • 3,468 individuals aged 50 years and older underwent detailed ophthalmologic examinations, including slit-lamp biomicroscopy for PEX assessment.
