Abstract:
Cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen-4 (CTLA-4) is involved in immune and inflammation regulation. The present study aimed to investigate the association between CTLA-4 and COPD. Data revealed that serum levels of CTLA-4 were elevated in COPD patients, inversely correlated with lung function and positively correlated with serum C-reactive protein levels in the COPD group. These findings suggest that CTLA-4 may play a role in COPD.

Pulmonary Tuberculosis I
Causative Organism
The primary infectious agent causing tuberculosis is Mycobacterium tuberculosis, a slow-growing, acid-fast, aerobic rod that exhibits sensitivity to heat and ultraviolet light. Instances of Mycobacterium bovis and Mycobacterium avium contributing to the development of TB infection are rare.
