Lactococcus lactis cremoris infection: not rare anymore?

A rare neck abscess in a diabetic patient was initially suspected to be malignant but was caused by Lactococcus lactis cremoris. This case highlights the importance of considering unusual pathogens in atypical neck abscesses.
