Abstract:
Non-hospital medical services such as radiography should be described, evaluated and revised as necessary. A statewide survey in North Carolina was conducted to document the numbers and credentials of people making radiographic exposures, the type and frequency of examinations, and preferred topics for radiography in-service education. About half of the 485 respondents were non-certified radiographers who performed a variety of general diagnostic radiographic examinations. Respondents indicated that all the suggested radiography topics were necessary.
