B-1-cell subpopulations contribute differently to gut immunity

B-1 cells, crucial for early immune responses and natural IgM, do not significantly contribute to IgA production in mouse gut tissues. Their IgA sequences show mutations, unlike the unmutated IgA expected from B-1a cells.
